এই মহামারী, মহামারী বা আপদকালীন সময়ে কোন ক্রিয়াকলাপ এবং যুদ্ধের কারণে বোর্ড এই সিদ্ধান্তটিকে উপযুক্ত মনে করতে পারে, এই অধ্যাদেশের যে কোনও বিধানে নির্দিষ্ট সময়সীমা বাড়িয়ে দেয়া হয়েছে।
যেহেতু নিম্নবর্ণিত উদ্দেশ্যসমূহ পূরণকল্পে Income -Tax Ordinance, 1984 (Ordinance No. XXXVI of 1984) এর অধিকতর সংশোধন করা সমীচীন ও প্রয়োজনীয়; এবং
যেহেতু সংসদ অধিবেশনে নাই এবং রাষ্ট্রপতির নিকট ইহা সন্তোষজনভাবে প্রতীয়মান হইয়াছে যে, আশু ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণের জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় পরিস্তিতি বিদ্যমান রহিয়াছে;
যেহেতু গণপ্রজাতন্ত্রী বাংলাদেশের সংবিধানের অনুচ্ছেদ ৯৩ (১) এ প্রদত্ত ক্ষমতাবলে রাষ্ট্রপতি নিম্নরূপ অধ্যাদেশ প্রণয়ন ও জারি করিলেন;
১। সংক্ষিপ্ত শিরোনাম ও প্রবর্তন।-(১) এই অধ্যাদেশ Income Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2020 নামে অভিহিত হইেব।
২। Ordinance No. XXXVI of 1984 এ নূতন Section 184G এর সন্নিবেশ।- Income-Tax Ordinance, 1984 (ordinance No. XXXVI of 1984) এর Section 184F-এর পর নিম্নরূপ নূতন Section 184G সন্নিবেশিত হইবে, যথা:-
“184G. Power to condone or extend, etc.-(1) Notwithstanding anything contained contrary in any provision of this ordinance, the Board may, with prior approval of the Government, by an order, and in public interest,-
(a) condone the period of epidemic, pandemic or any other acts of God, and war in computing the time limits specified in any provision of this ordinance; or
(b) extend the time limits specified in any provision of this Ordinance to such extent as the Board may think fit, due to such epidemic, pandemic or any other acts of God, and war.
(2) The order under su-section (1) may be issued with retrospective effect.”।
